This Privacy Policy describes how PomodoroForge (the "Extension") handles user information.

1. Our Commitment

PomodoroForge is designed with privacy as a core principle. We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. All data remains 100% local on your device.

2. Data Stored Locally

The Extension stores the following data in your browser's local storage (chrome.storage):

Timer settings (focus duration, break duration, etc.)
Session records (start time, end time, type)
Blocked site attempts (domain, timestamp)
List of blocked sites you configure

This data never leaves your browser and is automatically deleted when you uninstall the Extension.

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

Personal information (name, email, address)
Browsing history or page content
Cookies or tracking data
Location data
Any data that could identify you personally

4. Permissions Explained

The Extension requests the following permissions:

tabs — To detect when you switch to a tab with a blocked site during focus sessions. We only check the URL, never the page content.
webNavigation — To detect navigation to blocked sites and redirect to the "Stay Focused" page.
storage — To save your settings and session data locally.
sidePanel — To display the timer in Chrome's side panel.
alarms — To trigger session-end notifications reliably.
notifications — To notify you when a session completes.
offscreen — To play notification sounds.

We require zero host permissions — unlike many similar extensions, we never access or read your web page content.

5. Third-Party Services

The Extension communicates with one external service:

ExtensionPay (Stripe) — For Pro plan purchases only. Payment information is handled entirely by Stripe. We only receive a paid/unpaid status; no payment details are stored locally.

6. Data Deletion

You can delete all stored data at any time by:

Uninstalling the Extension (all data is automatically removed)
Clearing extension data in Chrome's settings

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be communicated through extension updates.
